Delighted to show you a recent commission with a very happy recipient!

It has been a busy Pre-Christmas period with three commissions plus a family portrait on the board to be done for January. I am now in the position to reveal these artworks now that Christmas Day has passed.....

This one is something unusual for me - a vintage car and spitfire.....The wife of the car's owner ( they live in Suffolk) was searching for a pastel artist on Google and I was very lucky she found me....and as you will see she feels lucky to have found me too! The photos below are the ones she had taken for reference....

Although the quality was not the best ( as you know I prefer to take my own photos ) I really enjoyed creating this artwork, using soft pastel for the background and pastel pencils for the details. The paper I used is my favourite - Artspectrum Colourfix which holds the pastel but allows for correction if a mistake is made.....

This is the completed artwork, as well as the framed commission in the car owner's home.

They will be having it reframed in due course but are absolutely delighted.......as David said

"Hello Ivan, As the honoured recipient, I just wish to confirm what Rachelle has said. I am so delighted with the picture, the attention to detail is impressive and I love it. The Alvis is close to my heart, we restored it last winter and Rachelle and I enjoyed running it in on a trip to Belgium last spring. I took the Alvis to a 40s event in Norfolk last summer and the owner of the Spitfire kindly let me take a photo of my car in front of his aeroplane. Now I have a stunning picture of my pride and joy in the lounge. Thank you so much to you both. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas, you have certainly made mine. Best wishes, David"

These are lovely, very much appreciated words and maybe you will consider me for a unique commissioned artwork in the future. Have a great day!
