As I approach the end of my current portrait commission here is a glimpse of a previous one

It has been hard to find something to share with you, through this blog, as I have been working on a large family portrait commission for the past month or more. I am approaching the end but still quite a few hours to go - it has already taken me over 50 hours, due to the detail needed to complete to my satisfaction.

But I have continuing to update my instagram page Β every two to three days, sharing Christmas commissions and older artworks that often come to light on my Amazon Photos app!

I have also continued to use hyperlapse video to show some of my art techniques and work in progress. The hyperlapse setting on my phone allows me to video, and display, one hour or so of working in 1 minute. It seems to be of interest to my instagram followers so I thought I'd share it with you here....

Some of the comments from Instagram include:

Thank you so much for your kind comments my friends!

As I say on this instagram page:

Hello my friends. Hope all is well? I have taken quite a few of these "hyperlapse" videos recently but not had the chance to post them. This shows me working on a family portrait commission from December. The setting is Switzerland and the reference photo is a selfie. It was an unusual request but interesting to undertake. Here I am using pastel pencils for the detail and fingers to blend as I going along. Hope it is of interest? Have a great day πŸ‘πŸ”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

I will post more on this commission and my current one soon. Enjoy your day!
